About Me

jorge ramirez

Jorge grew up in a musically inclined family. His father sang, one brother played drums, and another played trumpet. Music from artists like Three Dog Night, Santana, Chicago, Earth Wind Fire, The Doors, and Styx filled his childhood home.

KISS was Jorge's first favorite band, beginning his passion for drumming. He would eventually build a drum set out of five-gallon buckets. His introduction to the band Journey concreted his decision to be a musician.

Jorge performed in several cover bands, playing styles from rock, funk, fusion, to country - in places such as Portland, Seattle, South Dakota, Las Vegas, Oklahoma, and Branson, Missouri. He was asked twice to play for country legend and Hee Haw star Roy Clark, and had the honor of playing with The World Famous Platters.

In 2003, Jorge was introduced to Dueling Pianos. After a stint on drums, Jorge started learning piano in 2009. Venues in which he has performed include: Grand Celebration Cruise, Carnival Cruise Lines and Norwegian Cruise Lines, Barrel Room, 88 Keys, Sopranos, Rum Runners, The Las Vegas Strip, Savannah Smiles, and the famous Spirits On Bourbon in New Orleans. He was Entertainment Director at Uptown Funk.

Currently Jorge resides in Savannah, Georgia, and performs throughout the United States.
